Ted A. Baker, 88, of North Augusta, South Carolina, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Cottonwood, Arizona, and raised in Exeter, California, he made North Augusta his home for more than thirty years.
A U.S. Army veteran, Ted retired as a Master Carpenter with JC Stockton & Son. He was an avid fisherman who cherished many years spent fishing alongside his loving wife, Dorothy. He had a deep affection for animals, especially his dog Rusty, and in his later years he devoted himself to daily study of the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jones Baker; two daughters, Lynn Smith and Linda Ann Knight; and a grandson, Ben Smith.
Ted is survived by his four children, Carole K. Wilson, Ted A. Baker II (Sheryl), Howard Baker (Angela), and Vicki L. Boyd (Paul); his sister, Bobbie Jean Carpenter (Gary); six grandchildren, Leslie Enfinger (Thomas), Linda Camak (Gil), Ted A. Baker III (Mary Beth), Jay M. Baker, Benjamin Baker, and Philip Patch; and nine great-grandchildren.
