Tecla J. Alfone

Tecla J. Alfone of Toms River passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Isadore Sibilia and Antoinette Meglio Rogers.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Alfone, and their five children: Frank Alfone and his wife Vicky, Denise Agosta and her husband Thomas, Janine MacFarlane and her husband Robert, Michele Castelli and her husband James, and Renee Alfone Cozzolino. Tecla was the cherished grandmother of fifteen grandchildren—Sabrina, Alexander, Thomas, Frank, Michael, Robert, Nicolette, Gionna, Vincent, Noelle, Gabrielle, Rachael, Antonio, Lorenzo, and Izabella—and the proud great-grandmother of nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister, Susan Grippaldi, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Sibilia.

Tecla lived a life centered on family, finding her greatest joy in the love and company of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her warmth and devotion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
