He was born on February 25, 1954, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to the late Pervis Joseph Norman and Relma Norman.Tavid was a man who found great joy in music. He proudly played the bass guitar with the band " The New Horizon", sharing his love of music with many. In addition to his passion for music, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time doing the things he loved.A devoted man of faith, Tavid was very active in his church and cherished his time in fellowship and service. His faith, kindness, and love for his family and community left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love for music, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.Tavid is survived by his wife, Karen Guigneaux Norman; four sons, Joshua Norman, Tavid Norman, Jr., Aymon Norman, and Shae Norman; sister, Pearl Norman Ellis; brother, Rod Norman; and several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, Pervis Norman and Relma Norman.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28,2026 at Cornerstone Cowboy Church, 400 N.
