Tarrance Smothers

Tarrance Adolph Smothers, age 54, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Born on January 20, 1972, he was known for his goofy smile, silly jokes, and free-spirited approach to life. Tarrance lived each day fully, bringing laughter and joy to everyone around him with his fun-loving personality and kind heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Ann Smothers and Willie Turner; his sister, Renea Turner; and his grandparents, J.W. White and Vester Mae Williams.

Tarrance leaves behind his loving spouse, Tangelia McElrath; his children, Jaydon and Tarance; and his siblings, Reggie Douglas, Tyrone Stroud, Cassandra Turner, Janice Turner, Kim Carter, and Julia Ann Coleman. He will be deeply missed by his numerous other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
