Tapan Shah ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium from Mar. 13 to Mar. 17, 2026.The family has chosen to send donations to American Kidney Fund ~ Link BelowIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tapan Shah, 60, on March 13th, 2026.He was born January 19th, 1966, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, to Sharad and Daksha Shah.Tapan was fearless - courageously traveling alone over 7,500 miles from Ahmedabad, India, toNew Jersey over three decades ago.He eventually settled in Chicago, where he worked tirelessly to create a successful life for himselfand his family.A natural pioneer, Tapan opened his own business and became a beloved member of Chicago's River North community as the friendly face of Millennial Mart, where he knew all of his regular customers (and their dogs) by name.Outside of the store during his precious free time, Tapan loved having dinner with his family, watching Bollywood movies, going to dances and karaoke with friends, and checking on his loved ones back home in India.He was a role model, caring soulmate, a devoted father, son, and friend.Tapan was a strong-willed person who touched the lives of many.Ultimately, building a life of success, love, care, and laughter.Words are simply not enough to measure the impact of Tapan's dedication, hard work, andinfectious smile on all who loved him.He is survived by his wife, Shruti Shah; his father, Sharad Shah; his sister, Tanvi Shah; his sons,Shailabh and Sayuj Shah; his daughter-in-law, Brittany Ciboski; and grand-fur-daughter Lucy.He was preceded in death by his mother, Daksha Shah, and his beloved dogs, Chester and Rocky.A celebration of life will be held at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home in Bolingbrook, IL with servicetimes and dates listed below.We welcome all who can to attend and join us as we cherish Tapan's life.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund at fundraise.kidneyfund.org/TapanShah, an organization Tapan supported and one that continues tosave lives every day.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
