Tanya Trombley, 50, of Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 10, 2026. Born on October 21, 1975, in Troy, she was the cherished daughter of Louis and Rita Trombley.
Tanya’s life was filled with music. Known affectionately as “the singing waitress” at work, she brought joy to those around her through her love of singing and classic musicals. She delighted in sharing funny internet videos with family and friends, and she had a quirky fondness for drinking pickle juice. A devoted mother, she lovingly raised monarch butterflies from caterpillar to adult with her son Max, releasing them together into the world. Though she had an amusing fear of earthworms, her compassion for animals was boundless; she adored her two cats and remained a lifelong advocate for all creatures.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Trombley, whom she missed every day.
Tanya is survived by her husband, Tim Denis; her children, Kali Martin, Maximus Denis, Miranda Denis, and Grace Denis; her mother, Rita Trombley; and her siblings, James McGee, Kathleen McGee, Dawn Trombley, and Louis Trombley, Jr. She will also be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews.
