Her love for travel took her to many places, where she gathered memories and experiences that she held dear. She was a devoted member of Mattaponi Baptist Church, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment.Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Edward Hitt, and her beloved daughter, Kimberly Scott, along with Kimberly's husband, Wilson. She leaves behind her cherished mother, Donna Woodard, and her brothers, Lonnie Smith and his wife Vickie, and Kevin Smith. Tammy also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Belinda Hitt Woods, and brother-in-law, Paul Woods.Her memory will be carried on by her nieces and nephews: Chris Moore, Samantha Moore and her fiancé Christian Arciga, Emily Woods, and Shelby Woods. Tammy's great-nephews, Payton, Riley, Leland, Bryce, and her great-niece, Savannah Smith, will remember her fondly. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Sterling Fortune.Tammy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Helena Fortune, whose memory she cherished.In accordance with Tammy's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
