Tamara Blakely ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 3, 2026.It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Tamara Ann Blakely, age 73, of New Canton, VA, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, after a sudden illness.Ann was born February 23, 1953, in Charlottesville, VA, a daughter of the late Virgie M. Blakely and Paul H. Blakely.Besides her parents, her brother Paul E. Blakely and sister Georgia G. Clary preceded Ann in death.Surviving Ann are her son Joseph E. Brochu Jr. (New Canton, VA), grandson Jesse Brochu (Fluvanna, VA), and nieces Joy L. Harris (Chesterfield, VA), Paula Moore, and Danielle Massey (Lynchburg, VA), sister-in-law Jane Blakely (Lynchburg, VA) and brother Rick Blakely (Carrsville. VA). In addition, many extended family members and friends remember Ann and will cherish her memory.Ann was a loving/dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was also a Christian woman who accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Ann had a deep love for gardening, flowers, cooking, and baking. She had a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and all who had the privilege of knowing her will deeply miss her. One of Ann's favorite pieces of scripture is Psalm 23, which reads:The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. And to all who read this memorial, the Blakely family asks that:The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace – Numbers 6:24-26.Place the Full Obituary in Any NewspaperThis is just an online death notice.
