Taegen Logan Masen Pourciau

Taegen Logan Masen Pourciau, a beloved son, brother, and friend known for his infectious enthusiasm and boundless creativity, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 23. Born on April 21, 2002, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Taegen grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture of his hometown, which nurtured his lifelong passions for music, art, and performance.

He was the cherished son of Tianna Pourciau Sykes and Christian Michael Sykes. Taegen shared a deep bond with his siblings, Talia Pourciau and Christian Sykes Jr., and was a loving step-brother to Juliana Sykes. He is survived by many extended family members and friends who were all dear to him. Family remained the heart of Taegen’s world; he was especially close to his sister Talia and his mother, with whom he created countless cherished memories.

A graduate of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts in musical theatre and a student at the University of New Orleans, Taegen found joy and purpose in the arts. He thrived on stage, excelling in dance, acting, and music, and brought the same creative spirit to everything he touched. He worked as a driver for FedEx, where his reliability, friendly nature, and willingness to help others made him a valued member of his team.

Taegen was an avid gamer who built friendships in virtual worlds, a devoted fan of comic books and superheroes, and a talented artist whose imaginative drawings reflected his rich inner life. His generosity of spirit, warmth, and genuine love for those around him left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will carry forward the light and memories he so freely shared.
