February 19, 1971— March 13, 2026
Pampa, TX
Tabitha Smith, 55, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Pampa after a courageous one-year battle with liver disease.
Born on February 19, 1971, in West Germany, Tabitha attended school in Amarillo, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Timothy Smith. The couple shared 37 years of marriage built around family and deep affection. A proud mother of five children and grandmother to eight grandchildren, Tabitha considered her family the light of her life. In 2002, she and Tim moved to Pampa, Texas, where they continued to nurture their home and community.
During her years in Pampa, Tabitha worked at Dyers BBQ, Pak-A-Burger, Pak-A-Sak, and Dollar Tree. She was known everywhere for her kindness, humor, and readiness to help others. Affectionately called “Momma T” and “Nana,” she had a heart far bigger than her small stature. She loved animals, cheered passionately for her beloved Philadelphia Eagles, and shared that joy with everyone around her.
Tabitha took great pride in caring for her family and her home, often insisting things be done just the right way—from the placement of cups in the cabinet to the proper folding of laundry and direction of the toilet paper roll. She loved cooking, especially baking desserts for her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed watching her favorite reality television shows, particularly the Real Housewives series. Later in life, when Tim’s mother moved into their home, Tabitha welcomed her with open arms and cared for her with the same devotion she showed all her family. Above all, she was deeply committed to family, becoming a mother and grandmother figure to many who were not related by blood, offering them the same love, guidance, and fierce protection.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shaquilla and Tia, and a brother, Clive Weaver.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy of the home; daughter, Rianne Smith of Dallas; two sons, Denzzail Smith and Timothy Smith, Jr. and Vertalicia Renteria of Pampa; eight grandchildren, Keyzus, Tralynn, Arianna, Ja’shan, Denzzail, Jr., Preston, Paislee, and Evangeline; mother, Debbie Weaver and husband Clive; sisters, Lisa Ann Smith and husband James and Billie Fleming.
