It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvina Reaves of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrianna Gonsalves (Merchant) and Arthur M. Gonsalves; her husband Preston Alfred Reaves; and her siblings, Milicent Roberts and Rupert Roberts.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carrie Lucy Gonsalves of Pottsville and Sharon Janice Hunter of Pottsville; her grandchildren, Chelsea Remah Gonsalves, Milan Syline Hunter and Anthony Joe Hunter, Jr.; and her siblings, George Gonsalves, Antigua and Alphonso Gonsalves.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory (1818 Mahantongo St, Pottsville, PA 17901). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (1818 Mahantongo St, Pottsville, PA 17901). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Schuylkill Memorial Park (75 Memorial Dr, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972).
