Sylvia V. Kessler

Sylvia V. Kessler of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on November 11, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest daughter of the late James U. Sockman and Julia M. (Frey) of Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati and married Harold H. Kessler on September 30, 1950, in Cincinnati. Harold preceded her in death on August 25, 2001.

Sylvia retired from WAYTEK Corporation in Franklin, Ohio, and was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin, Indiana. She found quiet joy in tending her flower gardens, though her deepest love was always reserved for her family.

She is survived by her three children, Cynthia L. Kessler of Copley, Ohio; Steven G. (Lisa) Kessler of Springboro, Ohio; and Ruth A. (Kim) Shores of Whiteland, Indiana; six grandchildren, Joshua R. (Lara) Rogers of Franklin, Indiana; David M. (Nikki) Robinson of Edwardsville, Illinois; Lynnisa R. (Jeffrey) Byrum of Zionsville, Indiana; Thomas E. Kessler of Springboro, Ohio; Jeffrey (Holly) Robinson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and Eric N. Kessler of Pickerington, Ohio; and nine great-grandchildren.
