Sylvia will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a devoted grandmother, a caring aunt, dear friend, and most recently great-grandmother.Sylvia and her husband George were married on March 11, 1971. They spent the next 54 years building a home and family, adopting two children, and later having 3 grandchildren.Sylvia was an avid crafter who was very active in the scrapbooking community. She loved the Lord and was an active member of her church. There she fueled her passion for early childhood education by teaching Sunday school.The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.Sylvia was preceded in death by her Parents-William Rolland and Grace Redus; Brother-Billy Redus.She is survived by her Husband-George; Son-Reiko; Daughter-Sarah (Anthony); Grandsons-Noah, Corbin and Emmett; Great-grandson-William; Sister-Cathy Alexander(Mark), and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
