Sylvia J. Nickolaow, age 89, of Raynham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, after a short illness at Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 9, 1936, to Roland G. LaBelle and Helen U. LaBelle in Brockton, Sylvia grew up in the family home on Gladstone Street. A woman of deep faith, she became a devoted Jehovah’s Witness as a child and was baptized in 1951.

Sylvia found her greatest joy in her role as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her family and was known for her warm heart, her love of cooking, shopping, and crafting, and the thoughtful care she extended to everyone around her. Throughout her life, she was always among the first to offer support and assistance to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Nickolaow, her previous husband Carlos G. Millett, her parents, and her first son David Millett. She is survived by her brother Roger LaBelle and his wife Bonnie of Corea, Maine; her children Glenn Millett and his wife Rosanne of Raynham, Karen (Millett) Botelho of Tiverton, Rhode Island, and Brian Millett and his wife Linda of East Bridgewater; her stepdaughter Leeanne (Nickolaow) Scott and her husband Kenneth of Alton Bay, New Hampshire; and her former daughter-in-law Debbie. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jessica, Joshua, Jacob, Matthew, Eric, Kyle, Tyler, Scott, Shane, Nicole, William, and Robert, along with her great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Sylvia will be remembered for her kindness, her steadfast devotion to her faith, and the love she shared so generously with all who knew her. Her legacy of family, faith, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
