Sylvia Ann Morgan McCoy

Sylvia Ann Morgan McCoy, age 72, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on November 24, 1953, to the late Alton and Maurine Morgan.

Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt who cherished every moment spent with her family. A lifelong person of faith, she was saved as a young girl at Southside Methodist Church and remained a faithful member of High Point Baptist Church. For many years she served her community as a rural letter carrier with the Albertville Post Office. In her free time she found joy in reading, bird watching, being outdoors, collecting gnomes, and taking photographs. Those who knew her will remember her sweet smile and the laughter that filled her heart.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Randy McCoy, and her sister, Kathy. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Allcorn (John); her sister, Theresa Thacker (Darrell); and a host of nieces and nephews.
