Suzanne Duyck ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Duyck & VanDeHey Funeral Home - Forest Grove on Mar. 5, 2026.Suzanne Laurie Duyck, 82, a resident of the Roy community, passed away on March 5, 2026 at her home.Sue was born on October 12, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA The oldest of two children born to Alan and Eleanor (Eppich) Anderson. Sue moved with her family to Gresham, OR. in 1947. She was in the first graduating class of Centennial High School in Gresham in 1961.She met her future husband, Ralph Duyck, while at a YCW dance in Portland. They soon began dating, and following a short courtship, they married on November 9, 1963 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Roy, OR. They made their home and raised their family on their farm in Roy.Sue was a homemaker and a dairy farmer's wife; she went back to school when she was 45 years old and attained a degree in medical records from PCC. She worked for Wells Fargo and the Hillsboro School District.She was very involved with her children's activities, through 4H, FFA, theater club and choir. She was a member of the St. Francis Altar society and helped with the annual Bazaar. She was also a past member of the Washington County Dairy Women Assoc. Sue liked to volunteer in the classroom and within her church community. Ralph and Sue also enjoyed traveling abroad to places like Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, New Zealand and Canada. They also spent time traveling in their RV across the US with the "Waggoneers". In her younger years, Sue competed in the Washington Co. Fair cooking and canning contests, she was a blue-ribbon winner in both county and state competitions. Sue loved to sing along with the radio and was a good dancer, she was also an avid fan of old musicals and absolutely loved Hollywood costumes. She had a soft spot for little children, angels and dogs.She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Joseph A. Duyck.She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph, five children and their spouses, Laurie and Michael Crop of Salem, Eric Duyck and Marisol Vasquez both of Santa Maria, CA, Aaron and Elizabeth Duyck of Roy, Celeste and Luis Matute of Corvallis, Vincent Duyck and Amanda Ives of both LA and Toronto, her brother, Ryan Anderson and his wife, Jody, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, many-many nieces and nephews.The family suggests donations be made to the St. Francis Building Fund.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
