January 24, 1941— January 31, 2026
Hamilton Township, NJ
Suzanne Barbara Albright (née Kelso), 85, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. Born on January 24, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Emma and Isaac Kelso. She grew up in Souderton, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Souderton High School.
While attending the University of Pennsylvania, Suzanne met her chemistry lab partner, Robert Albright, and they married on February 11, 1961. The couple shared nearly 60 years of marriage until Robert’s passing on February 6, 2021. Together they made their homes in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Belvidere, New Jersey, Somerville, New Jersey, and finally Poughkeepsie, New York.
A devoted homemaker and mother, Suzanne was actively involved in her children’s school classrooms and with local 4-H clubs. She was a longtime member of the Belvidere, Bridgewater, and Poughkeepsie United Methodist Churches and provided in-home childcare for many years. Later in life she returned to college, earning her nursing degree from Raritan Valley Community College and Dutchess Community College.
Suzanne found joy in painting, baking, bird watching, music, playing cards with friends, walking along the beach, and traveling. Above all, she cherished time with her family. A photograph of one of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren could always bring a smile to her face, even on difficult days. She will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
She is survived by her three children, Robert Albright Jr. (Tina), Jill Grogan (Pete), and Ben Albright (Abbey); grandchildren Shannon (Matt), Kaitlyn (Christina), Breanne (Amar), Brendan (Charlotte), Tyler (Rachel), Jemma (Mason), Caden, Cal, and Cam; and great-grandchildren Carter, Sadie, Mia, Addie, Eleanora, Theo, and Eden. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Albright, and her brother, John Kelso.
