Born on July 16, 1971, in Portland, Oregon, Suzan built a life defined by determination, passion, and a deep love for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and fierce love she had for those closest to her.Suzan earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from California State University, East Bay (Hayward) although the career path she ultimately chose led her to the Real Estate Industry. Suzan went on to build a successful and respected career as a realtor for 15 years, helping many families find their homes and establish roots in the community. Suzan resided in Amador County for 17 years, where she built both her life and real estate career, and formed lasting friendships.Suzan leaves behind her beloved partner, Terri Coombs, and her cherished daughter, Elizabeth Coombs. She is also survived by her father, William Chain, her brothers Tim, Karl, Larry, and Bob Chain. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Chain, and her sisters, Patricia Chain and Karen Hjeltness.Suzan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life and memory of Suzan at a Memorial Mass on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 11361 Prospect Drive, Jackson, CA 95642.
