Susie Mae Edwards Davidson

Susie “Susie Q” Mae Edwards Davidson, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on March 12, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on November 29, 1941, in Independence, Louisiana, Susie was a devoted and lifelong member of Revival Temple in Walker. She found great joy in reading and cooking, yet nothing meant more to her than being a loving mother and grandmother. Known for her kind heart, strong faith, and deep love for her family and the Lord, Susie touched the lives of many with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those she cherished.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Thomas Edward Davidson Sr., the love of her life; her son, Thomas Edward “Eddie” Davidson Jr.; her daughters, Debbie Cambre (Jeff), Janice Blount (Jesse), Sherry Watts (Chet), and Kimberly Arnold; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Georgia Wheat.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Georgia Edwards; her sisters, Leona Efferson and Betty Johnson; her son-in-law, Timmy Arnold; and her great-grandson, Everett William Nevels. She will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave so freely and the lasting legacy of family and faith she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
