Bartlesville, OK
Susie Jane Adair, 78, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 28, 1947, in Bartlesville to Thomas L. Ogans and Carrie (Jenkins) Ogans, Susie grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma. She later moved to Bartlesville, where she graduated with the College High School Class of 1965. She attended Bartlesville Business School and began a 27-year career with Philips Petroleum Company, working in the secretarial pool and the accounting department. On Christmas Eve of 1974, she married the love of her life, Everette Turner Adair, at the Starlight Baptist Church in Bartlesville. The couple made their home in Bartlesville and were longtime members of New Beginnings Family Church.
Susie found simple pleasures in watching her favorite television shows, including “In the Heat of the Night,” “Monk,” “NCIS,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” and any film starring John Wayne. She enjoyed a cold Coca-Cola with a Pay Day candy bar and was known for her wonderful and unique laugh.
She is survived by her husband, Everette, of the home; daughters Erica Lynn Adair of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Diane Adair of Bartlesville; brothers Keith Ogans and wife Judy of Oklahoma City, Robert Jenkins of California, Thomas Ogans of Denver, Colorado, and Marcus Ogans of Texas; and grandchildren Brylinn Turner Scullawl, Ariana Michelle Adair, and Caleb Wayne Harris, all of Bartlesville. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Darren and Tony Ogans, and sister Rose (Ogans) Pace.
