In Eternal Memory

Susanne "Sannie" Jones

Susanne Jones, 1961–2026, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose home was a place of constant welcome and warmth. Deeply generous, she lived with the conviction that kindness mattered far more than self-interest. Family and friends gathered often around her table for Sunday pot roast, carrots, peas, and her signature three-part Rhodes rolls, sharing life and laughter. Most days found her at that same table studying her scriptures before devoting herself to doing something good for others. Her care extended well beyond her immediate family; she became a mother figure to many, drawing friends, cousins, sons, daughters-in-law, and anyone she felt inspired to help into her circle. In her presence, you were family.

Susanne loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and lived its principles daily with humility, grace, and steady devotion. She followed inspiration without hesitation, often beginning a phone call with the words, “I’m having a thought—hear me out.” What followed was either quiet wisdom or a generous gesture that met a need or simply brought joy. She spoiled those around her with her time, attention, and energy, remembering favorite treats and showing up for games, lunches, and milestones. Her own interests—craft nights, card games, flowers, and travel—always revolved around bringing loved ones together. She helped make Lake Powell a second home for her family and embraced every adventure with humor, even when it involved “rect-um” boating with Red Eye.

She was a devoted wife to Randy, caring for him with daily companionship, good meals, and thoughtful gestures. Her home served as both a safe harbor for her children during difficult times and a joyful playground for her grandchildren. Susanne passed away unexpectedly in 2026 after suffering a stroke. She was surrounded by family from the moment it occurred until the end. She is survived by her five children and her cherished grandchildren: Braiden, Kayle, Kasey, Shelby, Jeter, Ginger, Indy, Birdy, Zealand, Taylee, Maxwell, Adalynn (Alan), Gunny, Whitley (Willie), and Remi. She is welcomed into heaven by her mother, Glenna, and her beloved Indy Llew.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through consistent, intentional acts of love.
