She was born on September 19, 1962, in Norwich, Connecticut, Sue's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on February 16, 2026, in Willis, Texas, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.Sue's early years in Norwich were filled with love and guidance of her parents, Stanley Ziezulka and Ann Judy Sullivan. Her father, Stanley, predeceased her, but his spirit and teachings continued to inspire her throughout her life. Alongside her older brother, Michael Ziezulka, and her younger sister, Jann Bills, Sue developed an importance of cherishing every moment together.Her professional life was marked by a successful career as a Hotel General Manager for Extended Stay America, where she was not just a leader but a mentor and friend to her colleagues. Marked by her dedication and the genuine connections she made with both her team and guests. Sue's leadership style was unique – a blend of unwavering support and an innate ability to inspire those around her to strive for excellence.Sue's interests were as wide-ranging as her sense of humor. She loved talking about music and shooting pool with her son, Jay Navarro, their matches were legendary. The kitchen was her sanctuary, a place where she poured her heart into cooking for her loved ones. Her grandson, Jayden Garcia Navarro, had a dedicated fan in Grandma Sue, who was there cheering him on in his latest soccer or basketball game. Shopping, crafting and mother-daughter trips to the beach with her daughter, Denyell Carey, moments they both cherished deeply. Movie nights with her daughter and son-in-law, Joe Carey, were filled with laughter and the kind of contentment that comes from simply being together. Sue's selfless nature shone brightest in her role as a mother. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.Sue's legacy is not just in the roles she fulfilled so beautifully but in the essence of who she was – a loving, selfless, and thoughtful soul who made a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community. She is also survived by her mother, Ann Judy Sullivan; her older brother, Michael Ziezulka; and her younger sister, Jann Bills. Her love for her family was fierce, unwavering, and unconditional.Today, as we remember Sue, let's honor her memory by living as she did – with boundless love, unwavering kindness, and a commitment to making the world a brighter place for everyone.
