Susan O. Bontrager

Susan O. Bontrager of Topeka, Indiana, passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 81. She will be remembered with deep affection by all whose lives she touched.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ora E. Hochstetler and Anna Hochstetler (Troyer), and her siblings, Alvin Troyer and Wilma Bontrager. Susan is survived by her husband, Ora J. Bontrager; her children, Sharon Miller (David) of LaGrange, Eugene Bontrager (Rosanna) of Goshen, Rita Borkholder (Lavon) of Goshen, John Bontrager (Carolyn) of Millersburg, Mary Nissley (John) of Millersburg, Martin Bontrager of Myakka City, Florida, Stephen Bontrager of Slocomb, Alabama, and Ruth Hostetler (Cletus) of Topeka; her siblings, Leona Raber (Lavern) of Shipshewana, Mary Miller (Erwin) of Shipshewana, LeAnna Hofstetter (Glenford) of Shipshewana, John Hochstetler (Edna Mae) of Howe, and Amos Hochstetler (Anna Fern) of Howe; and her brother-in-law, Glen Bontrager of Shipshewana. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Susan lived a life centered on family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through the many generations who cherished her.
