Susan Margaret Stephenson

Susan Margaret Stephenson, known affectionately as Suz and Susie, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Corewell Health Gerber Hospital in Fremont at the age of 69. Born on September 15, 1956, in Cheboygan, Michigan, she spent her working years at the Gerber Federal Credit Union Newaygo Office, where she served as Assistant Manager until her retirement in 2023 after ten years of dedicated service.

Susie was a proud member of the Hesperia American Legion Post #411 Auxiliary and the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555. She found great joy in riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, camping, and snowmobiling, and she remained a steadfast supporter of veterans throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kevin Stephenson; two granddaughters, Lindsey and Breianna; two great-grandsons; her sisters, Donna B. and Donna G.; her brothers, Paul, David, Pat, and Wally; and many nieces and nephews. Susie was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Bobby”; her brother, Martin; and her parents, John, Jackie, and Margaret.
