Susan “Kem” Kemper Gambrell, age 68, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.
Born on August 1, 1957, Kem was the daughter of the late Marvin W. Manley and Sue Cooper Manley. She devoted many years to her work as a certified nursing assistant at NHC, Langston House, and Whitten Center, caring for others with quiet dedication.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Michael “Mike” Gambrell; her son, Cliff Cole (Ashley); her daughter, Kim Gambrell Owens (James); her sister, Mary Beth Hollozworth (Pete); and her grandchildren, Jay Owens, Ava Cole, and Liam Cole.
Kem’s family will remember her gentle spirit and the steady love she gave to those closest to her.
