Susan was born in Escanaba, Michigan on August 8, 1939 to Mary Florence and Robert Solomon Trottier. As a young adult, Susan and her best friend Kay moved to California for what was supposed to be a one year adventure. Susan found a job working as a secretary at Rockwell International where she met her future husband Terrence. Though many told Susan and Terry they were crazy to buy a house so far from work, the newlyweds moved to beautiful Newport Beach in 1963 where the couple raised their family and became parishioners at the newly built Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.Susan's Catholic faith was foremost in her life and she was involved in her church as a Eucharistic Minister, offering counter, and rosary maker through the years. Susan's faith and love of God was strong all throughout her life and up until her final breath.Susan loved traveling to Michigan's upper peninsula with Terry every summer. The time spent in their cottage by the lake, on the golf course in the woods, and visiting with Sue's sister, Betty, and brother-in-law, Earl, was some of the happiest of their lives.Susan is survived by her children Kathryn Mary Jecusco, Julie Ann Dumhart, and John Nathan Bennitt, as well as her 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother James Trottier.Susan's funeral mass will be held Monday March 16, 2026 at 11:00 amOur Lady Queen of Angels Church2100 Mar Vista DriveNewport Beach, CA 92660There will be a reception following in the church hall.Funeral MassDate & Time: March 16, 2026 (11:00 AM)Venue: Our Lady Queen Of Angels Catholic ChurchLocation: 2100 Mar Vista Dr Newport Beach, CA 92660 - (Get Directions)ReceptionDate & Time: March 16, 2026 (12:00 PM)Venue: Our Lady Queen Of Angels Parish HallLocation: 2100 Mar Vista Drive Newport Beach, CA 92660 - (Get Directions)CemeteryDate & Time: March 16, 2026 (2:00 PM)Venue: Ascension CemeteryLocation: 24754 Trabuco Road Lake Forest, CA 92630 - (Get Directions)Phone Number: (949) 837-1331To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
