Susan Jean "Mihelic" Frank

Susan Jean (Mihelic) Frank, 74, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026 after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on July 21, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Susan lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met.

For 43 years, Susan taught with patience, encouragement, and a genuine love of learning. Teaching was far more than a profession to her; it was her calling. She took great pride in helping generations of students grow, believe in themselves, and succeed. Outside the classroom, she embraced travel and adventure, exploring new places and cultures with the same generous and curious spirit she brought to every part of her life. Susan also held a special love for animals and found quiet joy in caring for them throughout her years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert, her son Chris, extended family, and many friends who will remember her gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love. Susan leaves behind a legacy of compassion, curiosity, and dedication. The lessons she taught, both in the classroom and through the way she lived, will continue in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
