Susan C. “Sue” Harlow, age 76, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Alomere Health in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Born Susan Carol Kennedy on September 22, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, to Charles and Blanche (Williams) Kennedy, Sue graduated from Walker High School in 1967. On April 8, 1978, she married Charles “Chuck” Harlow in Long Prairie, Minnesota. She worked for Eye Kraft before stepping away to raise their two children. When the children were older, she returned to work and retired from the Todd County Transfer Station.
Sue’s greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren. She taught Sunday School for many years at the United Methodist Church in Long Prairie and, in her younger days, enjoyed ice racing. A devoted member of Peace United Church, the Little Sauk Legion Auxiliary, and POW, she was always present for her children and grandchildren, faithfully attending their events and sharing in their lives. She also cherished quiet moments watching ranch rodeos alongside her husband, Chuck.
Sue is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Harlow; her children, Jennifer Harlow (Scott Roering) and Duane (Trish) Harlow; her grandchildren, Hunter Harlow (Chaeli Falzone), Maverick Roering (Rylee Hecimovich), Zachary Harlow, Addison Roering, and Cooper Harlow; her siblings, Gary (Connie) Kennedy, David Kennedy, and Laurie (Rod) Hooker; her sister-in-law, Cindy Kennedy; her brother-in-law, Doug Baker; her in-laws, Mike Harlow, Stephanie Muenzhuber, and Bill Harlow; and many nieces, nephews, and friends she considered family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Blanche Kennedy; her step-grandson, Nathan Roering; her brother, Charlie Kennedy; her sister, Elsbeth Baker; and her parents-in-law.
