She was born on May 15, 1946, in Ibagué, Tolima, Colombia, to the late Alberto Herrera and Maria Olaya. Over the years, Susan's journey carried her far from her birthplace and eventually to Carrollton, Georgia, where she built a home and a life centered around the people she loved most.Susan dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She took great pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable home, a place where those she loved always felt cared for and at ease. She found happiness in the everyday moments; working in her garden, going for walks, and decorating her home with a thoughtful touch that reflected her personality. She also had a special place in her heart for dogs and was known for her deep love and compassion for animals.Family was always at the center of Susan's life. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Larry Edwin O'Dor, and took great pride in her daughter, Erika, and her son-in-law, Roberto Eager. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to Roberto Daniel Eager. She loved attending his soccer games and cheering him on from the sidelines, always proud to watch him grow and succeed.In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her siblings.She will be remembered for her caring heart, her quiet strength, and the love she showed to her family each day. Those who knew her will carry forward the memories of her kindness, her warm presence, and the life she built around the people she cherished most.Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home's Chapel, with Pastor Zach Hicks officiating.
