Susan Gaines ObituaryPublished by Legacy from Mar. 11 to Mar. 17, 2026.Susan Elizabeth (Beth) Gaines April 15, 1969 – March 4, 2026Susan Elizabeth (Beth) Gaines was born April 15, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee, to John and Linda Walls. She is survived by her mother Linda Walls Holmes, her sister Karen Flowers, her brother John Walls, Jr., her daughter Lauren Clardy, her son Clayton Gaines, her daughter Olivia Gaines, and her grandchildren Konner Clardy, Kinsley Turnage, and Lila Clark.Beth worked at Youth Villages, in the Memphis Circuit Court System, and at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She also worked for a time at Dairy Queen, where she loved conversing with people about their lives and delicious ice cream. She enjoyed rescuing animals, even as a young child bringing home many strays. She was an avid photographer, which means she is not in many photos, herself. She also enjoyed working in flower gardens, where she always commented on their loveliness, listening to music, attending arts and craft festivals, playing cards and dominoes, and finding hidden treasures at thrift shops and yard sales. She had a gift for seeing beauty and value that others did not see.On March 8, 2026, her organs were donated following an organ donation ceremonial walk. She had been inspired by her mother in a conversation about organ donation a few years before her death. She chose to donate because she wanted to make a positive difference in others' lives.A memorial service will be held for Beth on March 21, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church, 8899 Trinity Road, Cordova, TN 38018. The visitation will be at 1:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.The family asks that if you would like to make a donation in memory of Beth, your gift may be made to any of the following:Methodist Transplant Institute 1265 Union Avenue, 4 Shorb Memphis, TN 38104St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105Or a charity of your choice to benefit those who struggle with addictions.Place the Full Obituary in Any NewspaperThis is just an online death notice.
