Sue Wood Bryant

Sue Wood Bryant, 91, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born in Wrightsville, Georgia on October 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Willie D. and Omie Wood. Sue graduated from Miller High School and worked at Robins Air Force Base for 32 years. A devoted member of Northway Church, she found deep fulfillment in her faith and in the simple pleasures of reading, traveling, and tending her flower garden.

Above all, Sue cherished her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

Sue is lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-three years, Sid Bryant; her daughters, Pam Bryan and Donna Sanders (Philip), both of Macon; her grandchildren, Lori Hatcher (Chris), Chris Bryan, and Haley Lee (Jamey); and her great-grandchildren, Ty Hatcher, Alli Bryan, Talley Hatcher, Timber Lee, and Kinsey Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie D. and Omie Wood; her siblings, W.D. Wood, Cecil Wood, Jack Wood, and Lollie Wilkinson; and her son-in-law, Bruce Bryan.
