Sue LaVerne Carr

Sue LaVerne Carr, 87, of Bowling Green, Missouri, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Elsberry Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 21, 1938, in Elsberry, Missouri, the daughter of Mary Cohea Daniel and George Daniel. Early in her childhood, her mother married Lloyd Carr, who became her devoted father. On May 28, 1955, in Hannibal, she married Jackie Joe Carr.

Sue worked for many years at A & W Communications in Eolia, where she became an important part of the business and formed many lasting friendships. She found joy in her dogs, music, and yardwork, and cherished traveling with friends to Branson and other destinations. Those who knew her remember her as a caregiver and a kind soul. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Sue is survived by her children, Edward Carr of Hannibal, Belinda Carr of Bowling Green, Kathy Capps and husband Mike of Eolia, and Stacey Stoops and husband Ronnie of Troy, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie Joe Carr, her son Kevin Carr, and her grandson B.J. Carr.
