Sue Kindle ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson Funeral Home - Childress on Mar. 17, 2026.Dolores Sue Kindle, affectionately known as "Sue", passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 in Childress, Texas.A memorial service has been scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Kerry Wood officiating.Sue was born on January 14, 1942, in McMinnville, Tennessee, to the late Walter Lee Nunley and Janie Mae (Green) Nunley.Sue truly loved our Lord and Savior. She was incredibly loyal; if you shared something with her in confidence, you could count on her keeping it secret. She consistently demonstrated unwavering support for everyone she knew and cared about. Sue loved quilting, cooking, and reading. She was a passionate colorer; especially drawn to more complex coloring books. She will be remembered for her collection of antiques-also known as her "knick-knack patty wacks."Sue is survived by her daughters, Karen Kindle Evans of Childress and Lisa Kindle Kirkwood (Danny) of Amarillo; grandsons, Eric Kindle Smith (Caitlyn) of Seattle, W.A., and Bergan Brian Evans (Taylor) of Melissa, TX; great-grandchildren, Ella Kate Evans and Stetson Kru Evans; sister in law, Jackie Kindle; brother-in-law, Bo Kindle (Mae), Richard Kindle (Robbie), Robert Kindle (Amy); amongst a number of extended family members.Sue is preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Nunley, and mother, Janie Mae (Green) Nunley; her beloved husband of 60 years, Berchel Henry Kindle; sister, Barbara Riddell; Uncle Noel Green; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Eunice Kindle.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital.And as we say "see you later Moma" , not goodbye!This is what our Moma will leave you with -- I'm Fine, It's Fine, Everything is Fine, Don't worry about me!To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
