Sue Ellen Brocius

Sue Ellen Brocius, 62, of Buffalo, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home under the care of Hospice Buffalo and surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 26, 1963, in East Aurora, Sue was the daughter of the late Kenneth Brocius, Sr. and the late Patricia (Mattia) Gwynne. She was a spirited woman who spoke her mind and never backed down. Known for her vibrant personality, Sue was deeply loved by everyone she met, and she returned that affection in equal measure. Her presence will be profoundly missed.

Sue is survived by her longtime companion, James Maund of Buffalo; her children, Tara (Joey Marsceill, Jr.) Brocius of Buffalo, Sara Khalil of West Seneca, and Devin (Kelsey Humes) Maund of Buffalo; her grandchildren, Madison Spencer and Levi Maund; her brothers, Kenneth (Rose) Brocius, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, and Timothy Brocius of Niagara Falls; and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tamara Brocius, in addition to her parents.
