Sue Protzman ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory - Wendell from Mar. 16 to Mar. 17, 2026.Sue Ann (Bartley) ProtzmanAugust 2,1958 – March 14, 2026Sue Ann (Bartley) Protzman, 67, of Zebulon, NC, died from ongoing complications from surgery in August at her home on March 14, 2026.She was born in Butler, PA, in 1958, to Stanley and Pauline Bartley and was a 1977 Butler High School graduate.She had numerous jobs throughout her life but the one that she had deeply loved was working at American Eagle Outfitters where she took on the roll as "AE mom" from the ones she worked with. Sue was an avid Nascar fan with her favorite driver being Ryan Blaney who she cheered for every Sunday a race was on. Sue endured a lot of heartache with the tragic loss of her son Adam in 2002, but she never gave up and stayed strong for her loved ones. Sue became a "GiGi" in 2014 when her first granddaughter, the light of her life was born which gave her that light back in her life that was missing from Adam. In 2015 she met, what her daughter called her soulmate, Tom. They moved to North Carolina in 2019 and traveled and did things that she never imagined doing in her lifetime. Sue always had a smile on her face and a contagious laugh that would warm the whole room. Sue was loved by all she encountered; she was caring and compassionate and selfless even till the end of her battle.Sue is survived by her daughter Garrah Neigh, favorite son-in-law Lance Neigh, her Stringbean and queen of the diamond, granddaughter Lanigan Neigh, her soulmate Thomas Campbell, brother Ashley (Barb) Bartley, sister-in-law Sandy Protzman, numerous nieces and nephews, and her kitties, Thelma and Louise.She was preceded in death by her son Adam Protzman, husband Gary Protzman, parents Pauline and Stanley Bartley, and brother-in-law Edward Protzman.Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, LTD. 127 W. Jefferson St. Butler, Pa 16001 on March 27, 2026, from 5pm – 7pm.Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W.
