Sue Ann Koon

Sue Ann Lockaby Koon, 62, of Bronston, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born in Jellico, Tennessee, on August 21, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Eva Rose Roller and Zenith Lockaby.

A devoted homemaker, Sue found deep joy in simple pleasures. She cherished her dogs, tended her garden, raised chickens, and loved browsing Goodwill stores and flea markets. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her lasting happiness.

Sue is survived by her companion of more than twenty years, Thomas “Pete” Peyton; her daughter, Crystal (Timmy) Williams of Stanford; her sisters, Caroline (Ronnie) Petrey, Patricia (Ronnie) Sparks, Cora Sparks, Sheila Kersey, and Diane Lockaby; seven grandchildren, Jake Koon, Shealy Bandy, Jacie (Nathaniel) Carman, Jared (Nikki) Williams, Trevor (Michelle) Wofford, Bailey (Kelsey) Wofford, and Lacie (Jeremy) Wofford; nine great-grandchildren; her uncle, Walter (Vivian) Rose; her best friend, Lucy Pemberton; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Koon, and her daughter, Joyce Wofford.
