Sue Ann Erwin Morgan

Sue Ann Erwin Morgan, 73, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Peggy Medford Erwin and the late Paul Erwin.

Sue was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church and worked as a medical assistant at Mountain Eye Associates for more than twenty years. She found her greatest joy in being with her family, and she expressed her love through baking and gardening. She especially cherished working outdoors and the peaceful quiet that came with a fresh snowfall.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank T. Morgan. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Erwin; sons, Joshua (Kathleen) F. Morgan of Waynesville and A. Paul (Amanda) Morgan of Canton; sisters, Paula Crowe, Janne Hyde, Patricia Blaylock, and Myra (James) Stone; brother, John (Teresa) Erwin; grandchildren, Austin (Mackenzie), Maggie, Adisen, Cecilia, Lance, and Fallon; and great-grandchildren, Emerson and Braxton Morgan.
