Sudie Cook Davis, 99, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born in Memphis on April 4, 1926, to Willard and Cordie Cook, Sudie possessed a warm and welcoming spirit that drew people to her. She never met a stranger and lived by the motto, “Smile at the World, and the World will smile with you,” greeting each day and every person with a genuine smile.
She had a lifelong love of travel, finding joy in discovering new places and creating lasting memories. She also cherished her time at the bowling alley, where laughter and friendly competition were always present. A proud member of the Lady Shriners, Sudie valued the friendships and fellowship she formed throughout her life. Above all, she will be remembered for her kindness and joyful spirit.
Sudie was preceded in death by her husband, William “Buddy” Davis, Jr.; her daughters, Cindy Lipscomb and Donna Sue Davis; and her granddaughters, Rainey Lipscomb and Lacey Lipscomb. She is survived by her son, Tim Davis (Margie); her son-in-law, Mat Lipscomb; her granddaughters, Jesse Anne Lipscomb and Melinda Harris (Jeff); her great-grandchildren, Tanner Harris and Avery Harris (Alexandria); her great-great-granddaughter, Magnolia Harris; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
