He grew up active in Boy Scouts, football, and throwing the discus in track. He graduated in 1968 and attended the University of Nebraska for 2 years. That summer he met Barbara Dry, and they were married nine months later, April 10, 1971.They lived in Grand Island, NE where he worked for the Department of Roads. Sons C.J. and Justin were born there. In 1983, they moved to Bentonville, where he worked for several engineering companies. He retired in 2009.Survivors are his wife Barbara, sons C.J. of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and Justin (Kristy) of Weatherford, TX, grandchildren Austin, Brianna, Allison, and Kylie, and 5 great grandchildren, sister Judy (Glen) Irwin of Omaha, nieces Shawna ( Mark) Ahmed, Kristin (Mark) Meusey, and nephew Eric (Amy) Irwin.Funeral will be Saturday, March 14th at 11a at Northwest Church, 301 SW Unity Blvd., Bentonville.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
