Steven Levern Gambriell

January 26, 1941 March 4, 2026

Seattle, WA

Steven Gambriell was born on January 26, 1941, in Auburn, Washington. He spent his early childhood in Puyallup before moving to Seattle at age ten. He was part of one of the first graduating classes of Chief Sealth High School.

Soon after high school, Steve answered the call of the Navy Reserve and proudly served two years aboard the USS Belle Grove (LSD-2). In 1959, he married the love of his life, Mary Jane Carr. Together they built a life centered on family and raised two children, Micheale and Micheline.

Following his naval service, Steve founded White Spar Homes and built houses and apartments throughout the Seattle area. Through hard work and fine craftsmanship, he helped shape many neighborhoods and provided homes for countless families. In retirement, he found great joy in woodworking, creating beautiful pieces with the same care and attention that marked his earlier endeavors.

Steve will be remembered for his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and the quiet pride he took in building things that lasted. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane, and their children, Micheale and Micheline.
