Steven Lee Stilley, 79, of Georgetown, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2026.
He was born on March 25, 1946, in Madison, Wisconsin, to the late Troy and Margaret Jerome Stilley.
Steven was a man of intellect, dedication, and quiet strength. After graduating high school, he pursued higher education with determination, ultimately earning his Master’s Degree. He went on to serve his country through his work with the United States Air Force as a Tactical Air Warfare Software Engineer. In this highly specialized role, Steven contributed his sharp analytical mind and technical expertise to projects critical to national defense, reflecting both his patriotism and his commitment to excellence.
Outside of his professional life, Steven embraced a variety of passions that brought him both joy and balance. He found peace and freedom on long bike rides, often enjoying the simple pleasure of the open road and the beauty of the outdoors. An avid golfer, he appreciated both the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it fostered. He enjoyed woodworking and would occasionally spend time creating pieces with care and attention to detail.
He also had a deep interest in competitive range shooting, where his focus, discipline, and respect for the sport were evident to all who knew him.
Steven will be remembered for his intelligence, dedication, and the quiet way he enriched the lives of those around him. His legacy lives on in the work he accomplished, the passions he pursued, and the memories he leaves behind.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosa Lee Stilley.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Mary Ellen Burtsell, Cynthia Lynn Lilly, and Scott Michael Stilley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Steven will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery.
