Cadillac, MI

Steven Joe Fredell, 67, of Cadillac, passed away on March 12, 2026, with his children by his side. Born on January 24, 1959, to Gordon and Gladys Fredell, he married the love of his life, Donna, on April 18, 1981. Together they made their home in Cadillac, where they raised their children and built a life centered on family.

Steven devoted nearly 40 years to his career at Rexair, where he formed many lasting friendships. Above all, he lived for his family, making sure those he loved were cared for and spending as much time with them as possible. Anyone who knew him understood they could count on his generosity, whether it was helping fix a car or offering steady moral support through life’s changes. He found great joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling to visit friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Scotty (Jessie) Fredell of Mesick and Amanda (Jay) Wilkins of Cadillac; grandchildren Allen, Emmy, and Brandon Wilkins; siblings Weston (Lisa) Newell, Jerry (Jeanne) Newell, Chuck (Barb) Fredell, and Brian Fredell; brothers-in-law Raymond (Anita) Foster, Bill (Lynn) Foster, David Foster, Randy (Diane) Foster, and Tom Albrecht; sisters-in-law Dorothy Foster, Rachel Foster, and Desiree Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Fredell, his mother Gladys Fredell, his father Gordon Fredell, his sister Ruthann (Jim) Newell-Kain, his sister Lori Albrecht, his brother George Fredell, his mother- and father-in-law Anne and John Foster, and his brother-in-law John Foster.
