Steven G. Fazekas

Steven G. Fazekas, born December 25, 1948, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.

Steve proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later with the Army National Guard in Wyoming. After completing his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green, he built a career in transportation logistics and later in sales. Raised in Ohio, he developed a deep love for the Colorado outdoors, where he enjoyed skiing, camping, and running—a passion he happily passed on to his daughter. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit and the way he loved giving people a hard time, always with a warm smile, or sharing a good Hungarian meal. Above all, he was a devoted father who remained just a phone call away whenever his family needed him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Steven Fazekas, his uncle Agoston Fazekas, and his brother Thomas Fazekas. Steve is survived by his loving daughter Sarah (Steve Masnyk), his grandson Michael, his brother Alex Fazekas (Ruth), his nieces Valerie (David) and Jocelyn (Dave), and his grandnephews Samuel, Alex, and Jack.
