October 25, 1970— March 12, 2026
Dallas, TX
Steven Bernard Love, born on October 25, 1970, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on March 12, 2026, in the city he called home all his life. A communication specialist by profession, Steven served with distinction in the U.S. Army and National Guard, earning the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. He was a man of compassion, humor, and quiet strength who touched many lives through his kindness and steadfast presence.
Raised in Dallas and a graduate of James Madison High School, Steven was known for his generous spirit and protective nature. He had a special fondness for the elderly, a deep love for animals, and found joy in wrestling, working out, video games, and watching “Cops.” A great provider and student of the Bible, he offered counsel rooted in faith and love, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh that brightened the room.
Above all, Steven cherished his family. He is survived by his mother, Noma L. Love; his children, Stevie Love, Jaylaine Love, Jalya Love, Jarah Love, and Akila Yancy; his twin sister, Stephanie Love; his brother, Daron Love; four grandchildren; his aunt, Janette Wilson; and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Sally Love, and aunts Charlene Hall and Kathleen Johnson.
Those who knew him will remember Steven as a devoted protector, a giver of wisdom and warmth, and a man whose faith and love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to share in his life.
