Steven A. Sharp

1943 — 2026

Temple, PA

Steven A. Sharp, 82, born on May 29, 1943, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. A United States Navy veteran, Steve spent the majority of his career as the owner and operator of S&S Mushrooms. He was known for his one-of-a-kind personality, his sharp sense of humor, and his deep devotion to family, which brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him.

Steve looked forward each year to summer vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey, where he spent sunny days on the beach creating lasting memories with his wife and children. He enjoyed gardening, working outside, and watching Philadelphia Phillies games, often teasing his wife in his playful, endearing way. This year would have marked their 62nd wedding anniversary on April 11, a testament to their enduring partnership.

Family was everything to Steve. He loved sharing his wisdom, big ideas, and advice with his grandchildren—Gabriel, Sofia, Julian, Natalie, Samuel, Jackson, and Maria—who affectionately called him PoPPoP. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia; his children, Andrea Curtis and her husband Christopher, Daniel Sharp and his wife Amy, and Stefanie Wagner and her husband Chris; and his cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry A. and Elizabeth “Louise” L. (Rocktashel) Sharp, and his brother, Jeffrey Sharp.
