Steve John Ciciura, Sr.

Steve John Ciciura, Sr., age 73, of Roosevelt, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. Born on January 29, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Steve John and Bernice Theresa Swierk Ciciura, he grew up with a strong sense of duty that would shape his life. In 1976, Steve enlisted in the United States Army, serving faithfully for 24 years, 3 months, and 5 days before retiring as a supply sergeant.

On July 4, 2001, Steve married Frankie Dawn Louis Wiley, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted the rest of his life. He found deep satisfaction in the simple pleasures of home, where he spent many hours tinkering with projects, building computers, and pursuing his passion for firearms and archery. A skilled marksman with both guns and bow, he had recently taken up shooting with a crossbow, continuing to enjoy the precision and craftsmanship that marked so many of his interests.

Steve is survived by his wife, Frankie Ciciura; his children, Dave Pritts, Dan Pritts, Nicole Smithbower, Kristien Mactzul, Steve Ciciura, Jessica Rodriguez, Kimmy Piep, and Tabitha Ciciura; his brother, John Steve Ciciura; along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Bernice; his daughter, Destiny Ciciura; and his sisters, Mary and Joann.
