Steve J. Hartman

Steve J. Hartman, 83, a native of Gheens, Louisiana and longtime resident of Raceland, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Hartman; his children, Michael Hartman and his wife Lynette, Annette Fornies and her wife Patrice, Robin Kovacik, and Sammey Hartman; his grandchildren, Jason, Jill, Brad, Jadi, Jye, Alex, Eddie, Donovan, Seth, Sammey Jr., and Chase; and his great-grandchildren, Jacie, Isabella, Landon, Dawson, Conner, Cooper, Charlee, Cohen, Sawyer, Cecilia, Linden, Emilia, Kamdyn, Kai, Kash, Tori, and Zoey. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Hartman, and his sister, Abigail Sampey.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Helen Hartman, his brother Ricky Hartman, and his sister Faye Dufrene.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose quiet strength and steadfast love shaped the lives of all who knew him.
