Steve Edwin Stephens
January 21, 1963— March 4, 2026
Old River Winfree, TX
Steve Edwin Stephens, 63, of Old River Winfree, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Webster, Texas. Born on January 21, 1963, in DeRidder, Louisiana, he was the son of Henry Edwin Stephens and Leona Davis Stephens. A graduate of Rose Pine High School, Steve spent 41 years as a chief operator for Enterprise Products and was a longtime member of Old River Baptist Church. For the past 15 years, he made his home in Old River Winfree.
Steve loved simply and deeply. He was a devoted partner to Pamela and a proud father to Colby, Ryan (Machelle), Payton (Brooke), Eli, and Lily. He was a doting PawPaw to Parker, Casey, Maia, and Wren. His greatest joys came from quiet, meaningful times spent fishing on the lake, hunting, sharing laughter around a crawfish boil, tending his garden, listening to his favorite songs, and gathering with loved ones around the fire. Generous, steady, and selfless, he consistently placed the needs of others before his own and gave from an open heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dow Stephens; his niece and nephews, Melissa Asbill, Brendan Jackson, and Jason Hogg; and his granddaughter, Arabella Stephens. He is survived by his loving partner, Pamela; his children; his sisters, Beverley, Gayle, Joan, Pam, Donna, and Janet; his grandchildren; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his Enterprise family who held him dear.
Steve’s steadiness, warmth, and quirky humor left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Though his absence will be felt deeply, his kindness, laughter, and devotion endure in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he so freely gave.
