Stephen Rhodes

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Rhodes of Yantis, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Rhodes and Dorothy Braziel Rhodes; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Rhodes and Jackie Rhodes. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Rhodes of Yantis; his children, Christopher Rhodes of Hughes Springs, Tara Spencer (Dusty) of Canton and Mary Ridings (Josh) of Lufkin; his grandchildren, Kerri Ann, Abby, Anna Rhodes of Hughes Springs, DJ, Jade Spencer of Canton, Kylie and Wyatt Ridings of Lufkin; his siblings, Mike Rhodes of Keller, Greg Rhodes of Rockwall and Patricia Groves (Mark) of Emory; his siblings-in-law, Kenny Scott of Miller Grove and Susan Crank (Steven) of Whitehouse; and his siblings' children, Brandi, Robert Rhodes, Nadine Hadley, Christopher Lambert, David Groves, Justin Scott, Joe Scott, Kobey Ivey, Andy Moody, Zach Crispin, Callie Crispin, Ashley Bleam and Jennifer Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the West Oaks Funeral Home (500 Hillcrest Dr N, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Dougherty Cemetery (Co Rd 4320, Emory, TX 75440).
