Stephen Michael Huffer

Stephen Michael Huffer, age 67 of Belvidere, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Waters of Winchester. Born on March 2, 1959, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to the late Don and Emma Mae (Callahan) Huffer, Stephen graduated from high school before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he was later selected for the Naval Academy. After his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech and went on to build a career as a civil engineer, serving in various roles across the State of Tennessee.

A devoted sports fan, Stephen could often be found cheering for the Tennessee Vols on Saturdays and the Tennessee Titans on Sundays. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed tending to his garden and working through Sudoku puzzles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Huffer.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Terri (Mike) Lewter, his brother, Wayne (Cathy) Huffer, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Services for Stephen were held privately.
